Vestavia lacrosse remains perfect with win over Auburn

Auburn, AL – The Vestavia Hills Rebels (7-0) remained unbeaten in conference play with a 14-4 win over the Auburn High Tigers in a battle of top five teams.  

The Rebels stand just behind the Mountain Brook Spartans (8-0) for the top spot in the GBYLA varsity lacrosse standings while Auburn slipped to 6-3.   The Tigers other two defeats came in back-to-back loses to the UMS-Wright Bulldogs (3-3) in mid February.  

The Tigers will begin a three game home stand which will include matchups against Prattville (1-7), Oak Mountain (5-4) and Spain Park (5-2) at Duck Samford Stadium before the GBYLA playoffs begin on May 7th.  

Next up for Vestavia is a trip to Hoover.  The Tigers will square off with the 5-2 Bucs Monday night at 8:00 pm in Buccaneer Stadium on the campus of Hoover High School.
