Hoover adds women’s hoops assistants

Hoover, AL – Hoover women’s basketball will have two new faces when the Bucs hit the hardwood next season.

Head coach Krystle Johnson added Mae Jemison men’s assistant Tae Keith and former Bucs standout Meghan Dunn to her defending state champion staff.

Keith, a former Talladega High hoops standout, has spent the past three seasons on coaching legend Jack Doss’ staff at Huntsville’s J.O. Johnson / Mea Jemison High.  During his tenure on the Jag’s staff the Alabama A&M grad helped guide the Tennessee Valley power to three consecutive state titles.

No stranger to the Hover High hardwood, Meagan Dunn will serve her alma mater as a varsity assistant coach and assist with player development.  After leading the 2010 Buccaneers to a 6A women’s hoops title the point guard played for two seasons at Tuscaloosa’s Shelton State Community College before transferring to D1 South Alabama.

Keith and Doss will fill the shoes of former Bucs assistant Monica Maxwell who accepted an assistant coaching position at Kerrville, Texas’ Schreiner University.

The Lady Bucs are coming off a 29-7 season and 7A state championship in 2017.
