Hoover junior commits to Auburn

Hoover, AL – Hoover junior George Pickens became the Auburn Tigers first commit of the 2019 signing class.

Pickens, a 6’5, 190 pound receiver received an offer while attending Auburn’s Tiger Night camp in June. He made his verbal commitment to Gus Malzahn’s Tigers during a visit to The Plains on Friday.  

The four star receiver attended camp at Auburn and Alabama and holds offers from Mississippi State, UAB, Arkansas State and Jacksonville State.  

Pickens is expected to be one of the top players in the state of Alabama in the 2019 signing class. 

Fellow Hoover Bucs receiver Shedrick Jackson also committed to the Tigers earlier this summer.  

The Tigers also picked up a verbal on Friday from the state’s leading tackler, Decatur’s Josh Marsh.
