Tuscaloosa Co. names new head football coach

Northport, AL – The Tuscaloosa County Wildcats didn’t travel far to find their 23rd head football coach. The 7A program announced Tuesday that current defensive coordinator Jay Todd will be the Cat’s next leader on the gridiron.

Todd takes over for former Wildcats head coach John Holladay who resigned in January to accept the same position at 5A Etowah. Holladay lead the Cats to a 5-15 record over two seasons, including a 2-12 mark in region 3 play.

Tuscaloosa County is coming off a 3-7 campaign in 2018.
