Hoover City Elite 7on7 Day One

Hoover, AL – At the end of the first session in the 2019 Hoover City Elite 7on7 tournament, the Spanish Fort Toros set alone as the only unbeaten and untied squad through one round of pool play.

The Toros closed out Thursday at 4-0-0 leading Holy Cross (LA), Gardendale and Mallard Creek (NC) at 3-1-0. Pleasant Grove, Austin, North Forsyth (GA), McAdory and Dothan ended the day at an even 2-2. Spain Park finished 1-3-0 while Charles Henderson and Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa rounded out Pool B winless at 0-4-0.

The defending 7A state champion Central-Phenix City Red Devils and Prattville Lions finished the day on top of Pool A at 3-0-1. Opelika, Niceville (FL) and Evangel Christian (LA) capped the day at 3-1-0, leading Daphne at 2-1-1. Alexandria Senior (LA) and Hoover split the first frame 2-2. Clay-Chalkville closed out the day at 1-2-1 leading Park Crossing, Bob Jones and Gadsden City who ended the first round at 0-4-0.

The second round of pool play will begin Friday morning at 9:00 AM at the Hoover Met Complex.
