Mtn Brook varsity LAX improves to 2-0 with blowout victory over James Clemens

Mountain Brook, AL – The defending state champion Mountain Brook Spartans improved to 2-0 with a lopsided 20-1 victory over the James Clemens Jets Sunday afternoon at Spartan Stadium.

The victory comes three days after the Spartans opened their 2020 campaign with a 14-2 thumping of the Briarwood Christian Lions in North Shelby County. The Jets, who remain winless since rejoining the GBYLA, dropped to 0-3 with losses to Homewood, Trussville and Mountain Brook.

James Clemens welcomes a pair of Metro Birmingham squads to Madison next weekend as they take on Oak Mountain Saturday at 1:00 PM and Hoover Sunday at noon, before returning to the Magic City Saturday, February 22nd to take on the John Carroll Cavaliers at Pat Sullivan Field.

Mountain Brook returns to action Saturday, February 22nd against Memphis, TN’s Briarcrest Christian at Spartan Stadium before returning to conference play Thursday, February 27th at home against the Hoover Bucs.
