Hoover varsity lacrosse remains unbeaten with victory over Briarwood Christian

Birmingham, AL – The No.1 ranked Hoover Bucs remained unbeaten in Alabama men’s varsity lacrosse play with a 8-4 victory over the 8th ranked Briarwood Christian Lions Friday night at a soggy Lion’s Pride Stadium.

The win improved the Bucs to 2-0 while dropping the Lions to 0-2.  Both of the Lion’s losses have come courtesy of the top two ranked squads in this week’s PrepsNet power rankings

Hoover returned to action Thursday night, knocking off the 0-2 Thompson Warriors 22-0 to climb to 3-0.  Hoover will look to remain unbeaten Friday night as they welcome the Catholic High Bruins from Baton Rouge, LA to the MetPlex.  Connor Conway’s Buccaneers with return to conference play Saturday, February 27 in Madison against the James Clemens Jets (1-2).

Briarwood travels to the Tennessee Valley Sunday, February 21st to face off agains the Bob Jones Patriots (0-1) before returning home to host 4th ranked Vestavia Hills (1-0) Wednesday, February 24th.
