Five Alabama Standouts Earn Spots on MaxPreps Pre-Season Sophomore All-American Team

Birmingham, AL – Five standout Alabama high school sophomores earned spots on the annual MaxPreps sophomore All-American team.

Representing the first-team offense are Thompson quarterback Trent Seaborn and Jackson Aggies running back Ezavier Crowell. On the defensive side, Thompson defensive lineman Cam Pritchett, Moody linebacker Ba’Roc Willis, and Vigor linebacker Jabarrius Garror claimed spots the second-team defense.

Alabama joined an elite group of states with at least five players named, alongside Texas (12), California (11), Florida (eight), and Georgia (five).

Seaborn, who accumulated 2,590 yards and 27 touchdowns as a freshman, enters his sophomore season with an impressive 17 career starts. He holds the No. 97 spot in the class of 2027 according to 247Sports and was last year’s MaxPreps national freshman of the year.

Crowell, designated the nation’s top running back for the class of 2027 by 247Sports, delivered 1,715 rushing yards and 25 touchdowns for Jackson last season. He also contributed 212 yards and five touchdowns on 11 receptions and added 102 yards as a punt returner.

Pritchett has already secured offers from powerhouse programs like Alabama, Auburn, and Florida, among others. 

University of Alabama commit Jabarrius Garror, ranks No. 43 nationally for the class of 2027. 

Ba’Roc Willis, another Alabama commit, is ranked as the No. 66 recruit in the class of 2027 and has also achieved four-star recruit status.
