Drew Puccio Shines as Arab Dominates Sardis 42-7

ARAB, AL – In a standout performance at the Arab SportsPlex on Friday night, Drew Puccio led the Arab Arabian Knights to a decisive 42-7 victory over the Sardis Lions (1-2, 0-1).

The victory improves the Knights to 2-1 on the season, 1-0 in Class 5A Region 8 play, under first year head coach Kyle Routon.  Sardis slips to 1-2, 0-1. 

Puccio was pivotal to the win, contributing to three touchdowns. Demonstrating his prowess in the air, he completed 3-of-5 passes, amassing 148 yards and scoring two touchdowns with impressive throws of 66 and 56 yards. On the ground, Puccio was equally effective, rushing for 134 yards and securing a touchdown on just five carries.

Landon Strickland was a key target in the offense, racking up 92 receiving yards from only two receptions, including the 66-yard touchdown pass from Puccio.

Looking ahead, the Knights will travel to James Tucker Stadium to take on the Brewer Patriots. Sardis is set to host the top-ranked Guntersville Wildcats.
