Kolin Wilson Leads Gulf Shores Past Blount 48-14

PRICHARD, AL – Kolin Wilson was unstoppable on Friday night, rushing for 161 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries, contributing to the Gulf Shores Dolphins’ dominant 48-14 victory over the Blount Leopards at Harris-Terry Stadium. With the win, the defending state 5A champion Dolphins have improve to 2-3, and advanced to 2-1 in Class 6A, Region 1 play. Meanwhile, Blount slips to 1-3 (1-2).

Wilson’s stellar performance extended beyond the ground game, as he also caught four passes for 87 yards and a touchdown. Additionally, he completed all four of his pass attempts, totaling 31 yards and another score.

Quarterback Jud Harris made a successful comeback after being sidelined since game one, completing 9-of-14 passes for 154 yards and three touchdowns. Carter Davis scored two receiving touchdowns, while Nick Hampton added one of his own.

Defensively, Landon Everett shined for the Dolphins, leading the team with 10 tackles. Price Stephens was also instrumental, recording six stops, forcing a fumble, securing a sack, and blocking a punt.

The Dolphins will have a bye next week before taking on the undefeated St. Paul’s Episcopal Saints at home on October 4. Meanwhile, the Blount Leopards are also off next week before welcoming the Spanish Fort Toros to Prichard.
