Arab Dominates Douglas 42-7
ARAB, AL – The Arab Arabian Knights showcased their offensive prowess with a commanding 42-7 victory over the Douglas Eagles at the Arab Sportsplex on Friday night. With the win, the Knights improve to 5-2 overall and 3-1 in Class 5A, Region 8 play.
Head Coach Brandon Lyles’ Eagles slip to 3-3 overall. Douglas is still looking for their first region win at 0-3.
Under the leadership of first-year head coach Kyle Routon, the Knights have consistently demonstrated a high-powered offense, scoring north of 40 points for the third time this season. The Arab defense has also been impressive, holding their fourth opponent to a single score or less.
Senior quarterback Drew Puccio shined in the Marshall County contest, completing 6-of-14 passes for 129 yards and two touchdowns, connecting with Dylan Kirkland for 47 and 33-yard scores. Puccio also displayed his versatility with 101 yards on the ground and two more scores on eight carries, including runs of 23 and 22 yards.

Logan Alldredge lead the Knight rushing attack with 137 yards and a 2-yard touchdown on 19 attempts. Landon Strickland contributed defensively with a 62-yard interception return for a score.
Douglas’s Keilan Green managed an 11-yard touchdown run, while Kenyon Watkins led the Eagle ground game with 91 yards on 19 carries.
Looking ahead, the Knights will enjoy a bye week before gearing up for a crucial region matchup against the Scottsboro Wildcats (6-1, 4-0) at Pat Trammel Stadium on October 18th. Meanwhile, Douglas aims to recover as they host the Sardis Lions (1-6, 0-4) next Friday night at Arthur Jarvis Stadium.
