Logan Anderson’s 335-Yard Performance Propels Fyffe to Victory Over Sylvania
FYFFE, AL – Clemson University commit Logan Anderson delivered an outstanding performance, rushing for 335 yards on 22 carries, leading head coach Paul Benefield’s Fyffe Red Devils to a commanding 49-17 win against the Sylvania Rams on Sand Mountain Friday night. Anderson’s impressive scoring runs included distances of 65, 61, 6, and 58 yards.
This victory boosts the two-time defending state champion Red Devils to a 4-2 overall record, and they remain unbeaten in Class 3A, Region 8 play at 4-0.
The win puts Fyffe, ranked No. 5 in Class 3A, in the driver’s seat for their ninth consecutive region title. Meanwhile, the Rams fall to 4-2 overall and 3-1 in region play.

Alongside Anderson, Ryder Gipson contributed an 11-yard touchdown run, Maddox Doss added a 25-yard score, and Blake Dobbins connected with Everett DeBoard on a 41-yard touchdown pass. On defense, Dobbins and DeBoard each recorded an interception.
Fyffe established an early lead, ending the first quarter ahead 14-3 and extending it to 35-3 at the break.
Sylvania’s points came from a 1-yard touchdown run by Aiden Parham, a 62-yard touchdown pass from Hunter Griffin to Landon Pritchett, and a 38-yard field goal by Conner Andrade.
Looking ahead, Fyffe will travel to Huntsville to take on the Whitesburg Christian Warriors (3-3, 2-2) next week, while Sylvania prepares to host the Collinsville Panthers (4-2, 2-2).
