Jason Wallace Steps Down As Prattville Lions Head Football Coach
PRATTVILLE, AL – Jason Wallace has resigned as the head football coach of the Prattville Lions, bringing an end to his four-season tenure at the helm of his alma mater. The school confirmed that the search for a new head coach will begin immediately.
Wallace took over the Prattville program in 2021, and over the course of four seasons, he led the Class 7A Lions to a cumulative record of 21-20. His inaugural season was particularly noteworthy, as he guided the Lions to a 7-4 finish and earned a spot in the postseason.
Before his stint at Prattville, Wallace lead the Marbury Bulldogs to back-to-back 6-5 records and a pair of playoff appearances over two seasons. From 2014 to 2017, he served as head coach for the Florence Falcons, amassing a 21-24 record. In his first year at Florence, Wallace lead the Falcons to an impressive 11-3 mark and a region crown, reaching the Class 6A semifinals.
With a decade of head coaching experience, Wallace holds an overall record of 54-54, punctuated by five postseason appearances and a region title.
