Pairings Set for 2025 AHSAA Basketball Regionals

BIRMINGHAM, AL – Pairings for next week’s AHSAA regional basketball tournaments are finalized following Saturday’s boys’ sub-regional matchups.

Sub-regional games for Classes 6A-1A were held Friday for girls and Saturday for boys. Meanwhile, Class 7A area winners and runners-up advanced directly to the regional tournaments.

The regional competitions, featuring 56 teams per location, will take place from February 11-20 at the following venues:

  • NORTHWEST | Wallace State (Hanceville)
  • SOUTH | Garrett Coliseum (Montgomery) 
  • NORTHEAST | Jacksonville State University (Jacksonville)
  • CENTRAL | Alabama State University (Montgomery)

Winners from each regional will secure spots in the state championship tournament, scheduled for February 24-March 1 at the Birmingham Jefferson Civic Center’s Legacy Arena.

State finals matchups will see winners from the Northwest regional face victors from the South regional and Northeast winners clash with Central winners.
