Brian Niedermeyer Steps Down as Tuscaloosa County Head Coach to join Denver Broncos Staff

NORTHPORT, AL – Just four months after being elevated to head coach at Tuscaloosa County High School, Brian Niedermeyer is stepping down to join the Denver Broncos staff.

Niedermeyer will serve as the Broncos defensive quality control coach.

He spent the 2024 season as Tuscaloosa County’s defensive coordinator, working under former Wildcats head coach Miles Holcomb. Holcomb, who led the Wildcats for one season, recently accepted the head coaching position at Southside-Gadsden, returning to a program he previously lead from 2021 to 2023.

Niedermeyer’s coaching resume includes assistant coaching stops at Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Miami, East Texas Baptist, and Georgia before coming to Alabama as a graduate assistant for the Crimson Tide 2016. He served as the Tide’s assistant director of recruiting operations in 2017.

He joined the Tennessee Volunteers in 2018, following Jeremy Pruitt, who had transitioned from Alabama’s defensive coordinator to head coach of the Volunteers.
