Muscle Shoals Dominate Florence 34-7 in Rivalry Showdown

FLORENCE, AL – Class 6A No. 7 Muscle Shoals delivered a commanding performance at Class 7A Florence in Thursday night’s high school football rivalry game, securing a decisive 34-7 victory.

The Trojans’ ground game proved unstoppable as Davian Reynolds powered through Florence’s defense for two rushing touchdowns. Reynolds punched in scores from 7 yards and 6 yards out, establishing Muscle Shoals’ early dominance.

Brionni Jones added to the Trojans’ offensive arsenal with a 1-yard touchdown run that opened the scoring. The defense contributed significantly when Christian Pritchard intercepted a Florence pass and returned it for a touchdown during the second quarter.

Kicker Jorge Garcia provided additional points with successful field goals from 39 yards and 23 yards, showcasing the Trojans’ balanced offensive attack.

Florence managed just one touchdown in the contest when Cavonte Green hauled in a pass from quarterback Cade Davis for the Falcons’ lone score.

Muscle Shoals improves to 2-0 on the season and will host Columbia next Friday to begin Class 6A Region 7 competition. The Trojans enter region play with significant momentum following their dominant rivalry victory.

The Falcons will travel to Albertville on Friday to open Class 7A Region 4 play, seeking their first win of the season.
