McAdory Rushing Attack Powers Yellow Jackets Past Northridge 33-24

TUSCALOOSA, AL – The McAdory Yellow Jackets utilized a dominant ground game to secure a 33-24 victory over the Northridge Jaguars in a key Class 6A, Region 4 matchup Friday night. The win keeps coach Aryvia Holmes’ Yellow Jackets undefeated at 3-0, while the Jags, led by coach Ryan Lolley, slips to 2-1 on the season.

McAdory’s offense was relentless on the ground, with four different players combining for 331 rushing yards and four touchdowns. The rushing leaders for the Yellow Jackets included:

  • Kawann Johnson: 14 carries for 134 yards and one touchdown
  • Jeremiah Ware: A 66-yard touchdown run
  • Derrion Davis: 11 carries for 67 yards and one touchdown
  • Justin Patton: 10 carries for 64 yards and one touchdown

Jackets quarterback Justin Patton also contributed through the air, completing 7 of 14 passes for 81 yards and a touchdown. His top target was Marcus Briggs, who caught three passes for 37 yards and a score.

Following the region win, McAdory has a bye week before hosting the Brookwood Panthers on September 19th. Northridge will look to get back on track next Friday as they host Brookwood in another pivotal Region 4 matchup.
