No. 2 Moody Dominates St. Clair County in 55-0 Shutout
MOODY, AL – The No. 2 ranked Moody Blue Devils delivered a commanding performance, defeating cross-county rival St. Clair County 55-0 in a Class 5A, Region 6 matchup Friday night at Bill Morris Stadium. The Blue Devils established an early lead with a 35-point first half and secured their second consecutive shutout against the Saints.
With the victory, the Moody Blue Devils advance to 3-1 on the season and maintain a perfect 2-0 record in region play. The Saints suffered their first setback of 2025, slipping to 2-1 overall (0-1).
Moody’s offense fired on all cylinders from the start. Running back Le’Kamren Meadows found the end zone twice in the first half on runs of 30 and 7 yards. Quarterback Jake Lowery also connected on two first-half touchdown passes, while receiver Jo Dozier contributed a 55-yard scoring run.
The offensive showcase continued into the second half. Lowery threw three more touchdowns: an 81-yard bomb to Jalijah Rutledge, a 30-yard pass to Aiden White, and a 15-yarder to Zayne Leonard.
Lowery finished the game with impressive numbers, completing 10 of 15 passes for 262 yards and five touchdowns. Meadows led the Blue Devil rushing attack with 101 yards and two scores on 12 carries.
Next week, Moody will host the Class 6A Helena Huskies (1-2) in a non-region contest. St. Clair County will travel to Bowman Field to face region foe Center Point (1-3).
