Parker Dominates Mortimer Jordan 42-7, Extends Winning Streak to 14
KIMBERLY, AL — The Parker Thundering Herd, ranked No. 1 in Class 6A, showcased their championship form Friday night, securing a decisive 42-7 victory over the Mortimer Jordan Blue Devils at Jimmie Trotter Stadium. The win marks the defending state champions’ 14th consecutive victory and improves their season to a perfect 4-0. Mortimer Jordan falls to 1-3.
Senior quarterback Dylan Reese delivered an impressive performance, commanding the Parker offense with precision. Reese completed 14 of 18 pass attempts for 257 yards and threw three touchdown passes. His scoring strikes found Jacoby Quates, Kejuan Gregg-Lamb, and Kentrell Davis.
The receiving corps was a key factor in the head coach Frank Warren’s offensive success. Quates led all receivers with four catches for 81 yards. Gregg-Lamb added 91 yards on three receptions, and Davis contributed 26 yards on two catches. On the ground, Chancellor Sparks powered the Parker running game, gaining 86 yards and scoring a touchdown on just eight carries.
Looking ahead, Parker (4-0, 2-0) will travel to Georgia to take on the Peach State powerhouse Carrollton Trojans. Meanwhile, Mortimer Jordan (1-3, 0-2) will aim to get back on track as they travel to Birmingham to face the Woodlawn Colonels (0-4, 0-2).
