Patton’s 5 TDs Lead McAdory Past Brookwood 54-27
McCALLA, AL – McAdory quarterback Justin Patton threw for 254 yards and five touchdowns, leading the undefeated Yellow Jackets to a decisive 54-27 victory over Brookwood in a Class 6A, Region 4 matchup.
Patton was efficient through the air, completing 15 of his 25 pass attempts. His top target, Carter Feagin, had a standout performance with seven receptions for 149 yards and two touchdowns. Marcus Briggs also contributed, catching two passes for 45 yards.
The Yellow Jackets’ ground game proved equally effective. Derrion Davis paced the rushing attack with 127 yards and a touchdown on just seven carries. Kawann Johnson added 109 yards and another score on 10 carries, complementing the powerful passing offense.
With the region win, McAdory improves to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in region play under head coach Aryvia Holmes. Brookwood falls to 1-4 on the season and 0-3 in the region.
Next week, McAdory will travel to face Central-Tuscaloosa (4-1, 2-1) in a pivotal midseason region showdown. Brookwood returns home to Billy Joe Young Field to host the slumping Chilton County Tigers (1-4, 0-3).
