TUSCALOOSA, AL – The McAdory Yellow Jackets edged out the Central-Tuscaloosa Falcons 21-20 in a tight Class 6A, Region 4 contest Friday night, securing a key road victory. With the win, the Yellow Jackets remain undefeated, advancing their season record to a perfect 5-0 and holding a 3-0 mark in region play. The loss drops the Falcons to 5-2 for the season and 2-2 in the region.

This high school football game showcased McAdory’s resilience, as they battled for a hard-fought win in a crucial matchup.

Key Performances

Quarterback Justin Patton was instrumental in the Yellow Jackets’ success. He delivered a strong performance, completing 13 of his 19 pass attempts for 169 yards and two touchdowns. Patton also contributed to the ground game with 19 rushing yards on six carries.

The McAdory rushing attack was paced by Kawaan Johnson, who ran for 66 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries. Derrion Davis provided solid support, adding 60 yards on 11 carries to keep the offense moving.

In the receiving corps, Carter Feagin stood out with nine receptions for 118 yards, consistently moving the chains for the Yellow Jackets. Marcus Briggs proved to be a key red-zone target, catching two touchdown passes that totaled 35 yards.
