The matchup took place Friday night at Lions Pride Stadium in north Shelby County, with both teams battling for position in the Class 5A, Region 5 standings.
Unruh was a consistent force for the Corner offense all evening. He established his presence early, finding the end zone on short-yardage runs of one and four yards during the first half. These scores helped Corner build momentum against a tough Briarwood Christian defense.
His impact was not limited to the ground game. In the third quarter, Unruh showcased his versatility by connecting with quarterback Keaton Coffee for a spectacular 76-yard receiving touchdown.
