McAdory Earns Dominant 37-0 Victory Over Paul Bryant

COTTONDALE, AL – The McAdory Yellow Jackets delivered a commanding performance Friday night, shutting out the Paul Bryant 37-0 Friday night at Stampede Stadium. 

With the win the Yellow Jackets improve to 6-1 on the season, 4-1 in Class 6A, Region 4 play.  Paul Bryant remains winless at 0-8 under first year head coach Christion Jones.  

Standout senior quarterback Justin Patton was instrumental in the victory, completing 14 of his 18 pass attempts for 188 yards and two touchdowns. His primary target, Carter Feagin, had an impressive night with eight receptions for 110 yards and one touchdown. Marcus Briggs also contributed to the aerial attack, securing three catches for 43 yards and a score.

McAdory’s ground game proved equally effective. Kawann Johnson led the rushing effort, gaining 120 yards and a touchdown on just six carries. Derrion Davis added 71 yards and a touchdown from seven attempts, while Corey Taylor found the end zone on one of his two carries for 18 yards.

Looking ahead, head coach Aryvia Holmes’ Yellow Jackets will welcome rival Bessemer City (6-1, 4-1) to McCalla next Thursday night in a showdown that will have major playoff implications.   

Paul Bryant will close out their 2025 campaign with a season ending road trip to Brookwood (2-7, 0-5) on Friday night.
