No. 4 Fairview Dominates East Limestone 40-10, Caps Perfect Region Record

ATHENS, AL – The Fairview Aggies, ranked No. 4 in Class 5A, secured a dominant 40-10 road victory over the East Limestone Indians Friday night, concluding their Class 5A, Region 7 slate with an undefeated 6-0 record. The win extends head coach George Redding Jr.’s Aggies’ perfect season to 9-0 with one contest remaining.

The Aggies potent offense has put up north of 40 points in 7 of their 9 contests as they prepare for one final test before the postseason. East Limestone falls to 1-8 on the season following the loss.

The Aggies, who had already clinched their second straight region title last week, set the tone on their first possession. A methodical drive ended with a 2-yard touchdown run from Rex Chandler, putting Fairview up 7-0. Later in the first quarter, powerful running from Jake Harper set up his own touchdown, increasing the lead to 14-0.

Fairview’s offense exploded in the second quarter. Quarterback Kolt Redding connected with Jace Stevens for a 65-yard touchdown pass, pushing the score to 21-0. Redding continued his aerial assault, throwing two more touchdown passes to Conner Scott, which gave the Aggies a 30-point advantage at the half.

The Indians managed to score early in the third quarter, cutting the deficit to 33-10. However, Fairview quickly responded when Redding found Alex Cruz for a 25-yard touchdown, restoring the commanding lead at 40-10. Neither team scored in the final quarter.

The Aggies now turn their sights to a regular-season finale against the Good Hope Raiders (8-1) in a highly anticipated Cullman County showdown next Friday night at Dafford Smith Stadium. Following that, they will host the Arab Arabian Knights (4-5) in the first round of the Class 5A football playoffs. East Limestone will end their season with a road trip to Columbiana to take on the playoff bound Shelby County Wildcats (5-4).
