Rodney Jordan Will Not Return After Four Seasons as Satsuma Head Football Coach

SATSUMA, AL. — The Rodney Jordan era at Satsuma High School has come to an end after four seasons. Jordan’s time with the Gators saw the program navigate a competitive Class 4A landscape while striving for consistency and growth.

During his four-year tenure, Jordan led the Gators to an overall record of 14-26, with a winning percentage of 35%. The team’s most successful seasons under his leadership came in 2023 and 2024, when Satsuma posted consecutive 5-5 records. Over the course of his time at the helm, the Gators scored a total of 731 points while allowing 1,368 points. In regional play, the team recorded a 4-22 record.

While the Gators did not make a playoff appearance during Jordan’s tenure, his leadership guided the program through a period of transition. The decision to part ways with Jordan signals a new direction for the football program as the school looks to build on the foundation established in recent years.

Satsuma High School has not announced a timeline for naming a new head coach. The Gators will kick off 2026 with an August 21st road trip to Class 2A Chickasaw.
