Arab Downs Lee-Huntsville 56-33 Behind Ingram’s Three-TD Night
ARAB, AL – The Arab Arabian Knights stayed perfect on the season Friday, storming to a 42-14 halftime lead and cruising to a 56-33 victory over visiting Lee-Huntsville. The win pushed the Knights to 4-0 and showcased a balanced attack that proved too much for the Generals, who dropped to 1-3.
Fast Start Sets the Tone
Kyle Routon’s Knights wasted little time taking control. Arab leaned on running back Mason Ingram early, pounding the ball between the tackles and setting up quarterback Nic Stevens to work the passing game. By the end of the first half, Arab had piled up 42 points, building a lead that Lee-Huntsville could never seriously threaten.
Stevens spread the ball around efficiently, connecting with a pair of reliable targets. Owen Lambert stretched the field on the outside, while Tucker Willis found the end zone twice as Arab’s offense clicked in every phase. Ingram, meanwhile, kept the chains moving on the ground and punched in three touchdowns before the night was done.
Lee Fights Back After the Break
Trailing by 28 at halftime, Lee-Huntsville came out with more urgency in the second half. The Generals put up 19 points after the break, showing flashes of the offense that could pay dividends later in the season. But every time Lee-Huntsville answered, Arab had a response, keeping the margin comfortable through the fourth quarter.
The 33 points marked a season-high output for the Generals, a silver lining in a game that otherwise belonged to the hosts.
Standout Performances
Ingram carried the load for Arab, rushing for 157 yards on 22 carries and reaching the end zone three times. His steady production kept Lee-Huntsville’s defense honest and opened lanes for the passing game.
Stevens delivered a complete performance under center. He completed 13 of 17 passes for 176 yards and three touchdowns, adding 54 yards and two more scores on six carries. His lone interception did little to slow the Knights’ momentum.
On the receiving end, Lambert hauled in six catches for 91 yards and a touchdown, serving as Stevens’ top target. Willis added four receptions for 48 yards and two scores, making the most of his opportunities in the red zone.
Looking Ahead
Arab (4-0) turns its attention to Columbia on Thursday at Joe Davis Stadium in Huntsville, aiming to keep its unbeaten run alive at the midway point of the season.
Lee-Huntsville (1-3) will look to bounce back when it hosts Boaz on Friday, also at Joe Davis Stadium. With a young roster still finding its footing, the Generals will hope their second-half surge carries over into a winnable matchup.
