Recap Saturday’s Northeast Regional Hoops Action

Jacksonville, AL – The Susan Moore Lady Bulldogs and Plainview Lady Bears advanced to the Class 3A girls regional finals Saturday afternoon.  The Plainview and Geraldine boys punched their ticket to the regional finals in Class 3A hoops action Saturday at Jacksonville State University’s Pete Matthews Colosseum.  

Susan Moore improved to 25-4 on the season with a 81-38 thrashing of the Sylvania Rams (12-22) while the Plainview Lady Bears rolled past Piedmont (18-11) 72-24 in the Class 3A girls regional semifinals.  

On the boys side, Plainview (26-7) took down Susan Moore (13-10) 64-29.  The Geraldine Bulldogs moved to 22-7 with a with a 71-50 semifinal victory over Piedmont.  

The Susan Moore ladies will face the Plainview Lady Bears for the 3A regional title February 22nd and 12:30 PM.  Plainview will take on Geraldine in the Class 3A boys regional final next Thursday at 2:15 PM at in Jacksonville.
