Nevertheless, Knights’ quarterback Drew Puccio answered with a 66 yard touchdown run down the sideline, tying the score at 13. Wooten’s extra point then gave Arab a 14-13 lead late in the first half. Brewer attempted to score once more before the break, but the Knights defense stiffened, holding the Patriots out of the endzone. As a result, Arab entered the locker room with a slim one-point lead.
In the early moments of the third quarter, Puccio connected with Landon Strickland from 27 yards out, extending the Knights lead to 21-13. However, an interception later in the period handed the ball back to the Patriots, offering head coach Matt Plunkett’s squad an opportunity to tie things up. However, the Knights’ defense rose to the occasion, preventing Brewer from putting any points on the board and preserving an 8-point advantage heading into the fourth quarter.
Arab continued to pose challenges for the Patriots’ offense, and with just under five minutes remaining, Alldredge scored another touchdown, bolting into the endzone, from just outside the Brewer two yard line, pushing the Knights’ lead to 28-13. Brewer struggled to mount a response offensively, allowing Arabian Knights to hold on for a 28-13 victory.
Puccio finished the night with 97 yards on the ground and a score while completing 9-of-17 passes and a touchdown throughout the air for 91 yards. Alldredge lead the Arab rushing attack with 171 yards on 31 carries and two scores.
