Arab Downs Boaz 63-35 in Marshall County Showdown

Arab, AL – In a Class 5A, Region 7 matchup, the Arab Knights secured a decisive victory over the Boaz Pirates 63-35 Friday night at the Arab SportsPlex. The Knights’ dominant performance left the Pirates struggling to find their sea legs in the cross-county showdown.

From the opening whistle, the Knights showcased their offensive prowess. Quarterback Drew Puccio wasted no time in connecting with Luke Hudson for a 28-yard touchdown pass, igniting the home crowd.

But the Knights’ offensive display didn’t stop there. Following a critical fumble recovery, they embarked on a seven-play, 67-yard journey downfield. Logan Silva ultimately capped off the drive with a spectacular 16-yard touchdown run, extending the lead. The third touchdown of the night for Arab was the product of a meticulous drive that chewed up nearly nine minutes of clock. Noah Mann executed a precision 13-yard double-reverse pass to Puccio, who made a spectacular catch in the end zone, bolstering Arab’s lead even further.

Boaz finally managed to break their silence on the scoreboard when Tristan Childers muscled his way into the end zone with a powerful 2-yard run.

Just as Boaz started to find their footing, Arab unleashed yet another explosive play. Puccio returned the ensuing kickoff for an electrifying 81-yard runback, placing Arab on the doorstep of the end zone. Logan Alldredge didn’t waste any time, scoring on the next play, sending Arab into halftime with a commanding 28-7 advantage.

The third quarter saw a surge in Boaz’s offensive efforts, as they managed to put 21 points on the board. However, Arab remained in control, and the Pirates couldn’t close the gap to less than 14 points. Boaz’s touchdowns in the third quarter came from Presley Fant’s 1-yard run, a 5-yard run by Childers, and a 3-yard dash by Tyler Pierce. Arab responded with authority, with Puccio connecting with Landon Strickland on a 10-yard pass and Alldredge adding a 2-yard touchdown run.
