Tabernacle’s Reed Chase Accepts Invite to Gatlinburg All-American Bowl

Gardendale, AL – Tabernacle Christian School football standout Reed Chase has added another remarkable achievement to his already impressive high school career. Chase has officially accepted an invitation to represent the Torches in the prestigious Gatlinburg All-American Bowl.

Throughout his senior season, Chase has consistently showcased his exceptional skills on the gridiron.  As a linebacker, Reed Chase has been a force to be reckoned with, tallying an impressive 26 tackles and a sack on defense. His commitment and dedication to the game earned CFA All-Conference Middle Linebacker honors at the conclusion of the Torches 2023 campaign. 

Chase not only displayed his dedication and toughness on defense, he shined on the offensive side of the ball throughout his senior season.  Despite being sidelined with an early season injury, he rushed for 199 yards on 41 attempts, caught 11 passes for 133 yards and completed 7-of-10 passes for 58 yards while adding four touchdowns and accounting for 24 two point conversions.  

Not only has he excelled individually, but he has also demonstrated exceptional leadership abilities as a team captain for the Torches. His ability to rally his teammates and lead by example were instrumental in Tabernacle’s success throughout the season and will serve as an example for future Torches.

Reed Chase’s journey to the Gatlinburg All-American Bowl is a testament to his remarkable talent and hard work. Following in the footsteps of his older brother, former Tabernacle quarterback Clinton Chase, Reed is now the second player from Tabernacle Christian to receive the honor of participating in this prestigious event.

Despite battling injuries throughout his senior season, Chase remained a driving force for his team, showcasing determination and resilience. His outstanding performance on both sides of the ball are a testament to his versatility and commitment to the game.

The Gatlinburg All-American Bowl stands as the premier postseason showcase for private school football standouts from across the nation. Chase’s selection to this elite event is not only a personal achievement but also a reflection of his skill and dedication.
