Mountain Brook’s Cole Gamble Commits to Auburn

Mountain Brook High School star running back, Cole Gamble, has made his college decision. The talented athlete recently announced that he will be joining Hugh Freeze’s Auburn Tigers as a preferred walk-on.

In a post on X, Gamble expressed his excitement about committing to the Tigers. He thanked all the coaches and schools that believed in him and gave him the opportunity to pursue his football dreams. Gamble also expressed his gratitude to everyone at Mountain Brook for their unwavering support and the strong bonds he built during his time as a Spartan.

Gamble’s impressive senior season showcased his skills on the field. Standing at 6 foot 1 and weighing 205 pounds, he rushed for an impressive 2,041 yards and scored 29 touchdowns on 273 carries for Chris Yeager’s Spartans in 2023.

This outstanding performance followed an equally remarkable junior year, during which Gamble gained 1,642 rushing yards on 200 carries, scoring 31 touchdowns. Additionally, he showcased his versatility by catching 10 passes for 123 yards. These exceptional contributions were fundamental in Mountain Brook’s journey to a 12-2 record and a Class 6A championship game appearance.
